01Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of goldennuggelcasino.slonik.store and of any account you hold with Golden Nuggel Casino. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these Terms, to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, and to the rules of each game you play. If you do not agree, please do not register or use the service.

Online casino gaming in Alberta is regulated. These Terms are written to reflect the requirements of the regulator and the market entity, and where a requirement of law or of the regulator conflicts with these Terms, the requirement of law prevails.

Gambling involves the risk of losing money. It is a form of entertainment, not a way to earn income. Please read our Responsible Gambling page before you play.

04Alberta Jurisdiction

The service is intended only for players who are physically located in Alberta, Canada. The regulated online gaming market in Alberta is established under the iGaming Alberta Act and the Alberta iGaming Corporation Act, and is supervised by Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) under the Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Act, the Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Regulation and the AGLC Standards and Requirements for Internet Gaming. Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC) conducts and manages the market.

You must not use the service from outside Alberta, or use tools such as VPNs, proxies or location-masking software to appear to be in Alberta. Bets placed in breach of this rule may be voided and the account suspended.

05Eligibility

To open and use an account, you must:

  • be at least 18 years old;
  • be physically located in Alberta whenever you play for real money;
  • act on your own behalf, using your own funds and payment methods;
  • not be self-excluded, whether through our tools or an applicable Alberta exclusion program;
  • not be prohibited from participating by law, by the regulator or by your role (for example, staff of the operator or of game providers where restrictions apply).

We may ask you to prove your eligibility at any time and may close accounts that do not meet these conditions.

06Minimum Age

The minimum age to gamble online in Alberta is 18. If the operator sets a higher minimum age in its official terms, that higher age applies. Every visitor confirms their age at the age gate, and every player’s age is verified during identity checks before any deposit or withdrawal.

Accounts opened by anyone under the minimum age will be closed. Any deposits will be returned where the law allows, and any winnings will be voided. If you share a device with minors, please use parental control software and never leave your account signed in.

07Account Registration

You may hold only one account. When you register, you must provide accurate, complete and current information — your legal name, date of birth, email, residential address and phone number — and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account.

Accounts are personal and cannot be transferred, sold or shared. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password and contact us at support@goldennuggelcasino.slonik.store straight away. Duplicate accounts may be closed and merged into the first account opened.

08Identity Verification

We are required to verify the identity and age of every player. Before your first deposit or withdrawal, you will be asked to complete verification in your account, which may include an electronic check and, if needed, uploading government-issued photo ID or proof of address.

We may request further documents at any time, including source-of-funds information where anti-money laundering rules require it. Until verification is complete, deposits, play or withdrawals may be restricted. Providing false or altered documents is a breach of these Terms and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

09Geolocation Requirements

Before real-money play, and periodically during play, we confirm that your device is located in Alberta. You must allow location access in your browser or device for the check to work. We keep only the result of the check (in Alberta or not) and its time, as described in our Privacy Policy.

If the check fails or cannot be completed, real-money play is blocked until a successful check. You can still sign in, view your history, manage limits and request withdrawals. A game in progress may be paused if your location can no longer be confirmed.

10Deposits

Deposits are made in CAD using the methods shown in the cashier, such as Interac e-Transfer, debit cards, Visa, Mastercard or online banking. Available methods, any minimum and maximum amounts and processing times depend on the method and are shown in the cashier before you confirm.

You may only use payment methods registered in your own name. Deposits are subject to your deposit limits and to fraud and anti-money laundering checks. We do not accept deposits intended only to move money without play, and we may refuse or reverse deposits that breach these Terms.

11Withdrawals

You may withdraw your available balance once your identity is verified. Where possible, withdrawals are paid back to the method used for deposit; otherwise they are paid to a verified account in your name. Processing times depend on the method and are shown in the cashier.

We may delay a withdrawal while we carry out required security, verification or anti-money laundering checks, and we will tell you if more information is needed. Funds won in breach of these Terms or game rules may be withheld. If you close your account or self-exclude, your remaining balance is returned to you, subject to these checks.

12Casino Games

Each game has its own rules, paytable and return-to-player information, available in the game’s information screen. By playing a game, you accept its rules. Game outcomes are determined by certified random number generators supplied by approved game providers, and games are made available in Alberta only after they meet regulatory certification requirements.

Bets are settled according to the game record held on the provider’s server. In case of a malfunction, all affected plays and payouts are void, and stakes on interrupted rounds are handled according to the game rules. No game or strategy can change the odds or ensure a win; results are random and past results do not affect future ones.

13Live Casino Games

Live dealer games are streamed in real time from studios operated by approved providers. Bets must be placed before the betting window closes, as shown on screen; late bets are not accepted. The result recorded by the studio’s system is final.

If your connection drops, bets already accepted are settled according to the round’s result. If the stream or studio has a technical fault, the round may be cancelled and the stakes returned, according to the provider’s rules. Abusive language in live chat is not allowed and may lead to chat or account restrictions.

14Promotions

There are currently no active promotions on the platform. We do not advertise bonuses that are not available.

If we offer a promotion in the future, it will be opt-in only: you will have to choose to take part, and it will be published with its full terms before you join. Those terms will state, at a minimum, the eligible games, any wagering requirement, the contribution of each game type, the time limit for using the promotion, any maximum stake or win, and how and when the offer can be cancelled. Promotion terms will be written in plain language and will form part of these Terms.

Promotions will never be offered to self-excluded players, to players on a break, or to anyone under 18, and will follow AGLC advertising and inducement standards. We may withdraw a promotion from a player who abuses it, for example by using several accounts.

15Responsible Gambling

We provide tools to help you stay in control, available in your account:

  • Deposit, loss and time limits (daily, weekly or monthly). A decrease takes effect immediately. An increase or removal takes effect only after a 7-day cooling-off period.
  • Breaks (“time-outs”) of 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or 6 weeks, during which you cannot sign in to play or deposit.
  • Self-exclusion for longer periods, described in the next section.

We may contact you, suggest tools or limit your account if we see signs of gambling harm. More information and contacts for support organizations are on our Responsible Gambling page.

16Self-Exclusion

You can self-exclude for 6, 12, 36 or 60 months in your account or by contacting support. During self-exclusion you cannot play, deposit or open a new account, and you will not receive marketing. A self-exclusion cannot be shortened or cancelled once it starts.

At the start of self-exclusion, your remaining balance is returned to you after any required checks. When the period ends, the account does not reopen automatically; you must contact us, and we may apply a waiting period and check your request before restoring access. Alberta also offers centralized self-exclusion through AGLC; where you are enrolled in an applicable program, we are required to honour it.

17Account Restrictions

We may suspend, restrict or close an account if:

  • you breach these Terms or game rules;
  • you fail to complete identity verification or provide requested information;
  • we suspect fraud, collusion, cheating, money laundering or use of automated software;
  • you play from outside Alberta or mask your location;
  • we are required to do so by law, the regulator or the market entity;
  • we identify serious signs of gambling harm.

Where possible, we will tell you the reason and how to resolve it. You may close your account at any time by contacting support; your verified balance will be returned subject to the checks described above.

18Anti-Money Laundering

We comply with the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA), FINTRAC guidance and the anti-money laundering procedures that apply in the Alberta market. This includes verifying identity, monitoring transactions, keeping records and reporting suspicious or prescribed transactions to FINTRAC.

You must not use your account to deposit or withdraw funds that come from crime or to move funds without genuine play. We may request source-of-funds or source-of-wealth information, freeze funds where the law requires it and close accounts linked to money laundering. We cannot tell you whether a report has been filed.

19Fraud Prevention

Fraud includes using stolen or another person’s payment methods, chargebacks on legitimate deposits, opening multiple accounts, colluding with other players, exploiting software errors and using bots or other automated tools. We use device, payment and gaming data to detect these activities.

Where fraud is found, we may void the bets and winnings concerned, recover losses, close the account and share information with payment providers, the regulator and law enforcement as the law allows. If you discover a software error, please report it to us instead of using it.

20Privacy

We handle your personal information under the Alberta Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and applicable federal law. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect — including identity, payment, geolocation and gaming data — why, who we share it with (including regulatory access by AGLC and AiGC) and how you can exercise your rights. Cookies are covered in the Cookie Policy.

21Liability

The service is provided “as is”. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access, and we are not responsible for losses caused by your internet connection, device, events outside our reasonable control, or your breach of these Terms.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount of the stakes or balance directly affected by our error. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or gross negligence, or your rights under Alberta consumer protection law.

22Intellectual Property

The site, its design, text, graphics, logos and software, and the games supplied by our providers, are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property rights belonging to us, our licensors or game providers. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use them for playing on the site.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer or commercially use any part of the site or games without written permission.

23Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint, contact us first at support@goldennuggelcasino.slonik.store or through the contact form, giving your account email, the date and time, the game or transaction concerned and a short description. Our support team will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it using the game and transaction records and tell you the outcome.

If you are not satisfied with our final response, you may refer the matter to Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC), the regulator for gaming in Alberta. This does not affect your right to go to court.

24Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, including the iGaming Alberta Act, the Alberta iGaming Corporation Act, the Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Act and Regulation, the AGLC Standards and Requirements for Internet Gaming, PIPA and the PCMLTFA. The courts of Alberta have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights.

25Changes to Terms

We may change these Terms to reflect changes in the law, in regulatory requirements or in our services. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. We will notify you of material changes by email or when you sign in before they take effect, and may ask you to accept them before you continue to play.

If you do not accept the updated Terms, you can close your account and withdraw your balance. Bets placed before a change are settled under the Terms that applied when they were placed.
