Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about registration, verification, payments, casino and live dealer games, responsible gambling tools and contacting support in Alberta.
Registration
Select “Register” at the top of any page and fill in one form: your name, email, phone number, date of birth, province and a password. You confirm that you are 18 or older and accept the Terms and Conditions. Before real-money play your identity is verified — the full sequence is described in How It Works.
You must be at least 18 years old to register and play real-money online casino games in Alberta. The age you enter is checked during identity verification, and accounts of anyone under 18 are closed. Confirming your age at the entry screen does not replace that verification.
Adults aged 18+ who can provide valid personal information and complete identity verification. Real-money play is available only while you are physically located in Alberta. People who are self-excluded, or who are restricted from gambling by law or by their employer’s rules (for example, staff of the operator), cannot open an account.
No. Each person may hold only one account. Duplicate accounts are identified during verification and may be closed, and responsible gambling limits or self-exclusion always apply to the person, not to a single account. If you have lost access to your account, contact support instead of registering again.
Verification
Verification (Know Your Customer, or KYC) is required by the AGLC Standards and Requirements for Internet Gaming and by federal anti-money-laundering rules under the PCMLTFA. It confirms your age and identity, protects your account from misuse and makes sure self-excluded players cannot play. Your status is shown in Account → Verification.
Usually a valid government-issued photo ID — a driver’s licence, passport or provincial photo ID card. If your address cannot be confirmed automatically, you may be asked for a recent utility bill or bank statement showing your name and address. Documents must be clear, complete and not expired; how they are stored is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Before and during real-money play, your device location is checked using signals such as your IP address, device geolocation, nearby Wi-Fi networks and mobile location services. You need to allow location access and switch off any VPN or proxy. Details are in Alberta location checks.
Payments
The cashier lists the methods configured for Alberta: Interac e-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard, Debit Card, Online Banking, Electronic Funds Transfer. For each one it shows whether deposits, withdrawals or both are supported. All transactions are in Canadian dollars (CAD); see the payment methods overview.
Log in, open the cashier, choose a payment method in your own name and enter the amount in CAD. The amount must stay within the deposit limit you have set. We recommend setting a deposit limit before your first deposit.
Once your account is verified, open the cashier, choose a payout method and enter the amount. Methods that currently support withdrawals are: Interac e-Transfer, Debit Card, Online Banking, Electronic Funds Transfer. Funds are normally returned to a method in your own name that you have used before, and the request may be reviewed for security purposes.
Processing times depend on the payment method and are shown in the cashier when you request a withdrawal. A request may take longer if additional documents are needed or the security review is still in progress. You can follow the status in your account, and the full rules are in our Terms and Conditions.
All balances, deposits, withdrawals and stakes are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Choosing a CAD payment method avoids currency conversion by your bank. If your bank or card issuer charges its own fees, those are set by them, not by us.
Casino Games
The lobby includes 59 slots, 16 table games (blackjack, roulette, baccarat and video poker) and 25 live dealer games, including 9 jackpot games. Browse them by collection on the home page: Slots, Table Games, Live Casino and Jackpots.
Yes. The site works in current mobile browsers on phones and tablets, and no app download is needed. Mobile location services must be enabled so your location in Alberta can be confirmed. A stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection is recommended, especially for live tables.
Yes. There are 25 live games streamed from professional studios: live blackjack, roulette, baccarat and game shows. You can find them in the Live Casino section; how they work is explained in How It Works.
The lobby on this site does not offer a free-play mode: games are played for real money once your account is verified and your location in Alberta is confirmed. Whether a play-for-fun version of a particular title exists depends on the game studio. Before playing, you can read each game’s rules in its help screen and start with the lowest stake the game allows.
Live Casino
A live dealer casino streams real tables from a studio in real time. A dealer handles the cards, wheel or game show, and you take part through an on-screen betting interface. It combines the feel of a land-based table with the convenience of playing from home in Alberta.
You join a table, place your bets during a timed betting window and watch the dealer play the round. The result is read from the physical game and settled automatically to your balance in CAD. Each table shows its rules and bet limits; if your connection drops, the round still finishes and is settled according to those rules.
The lobby currently offers 6 live blackjack tables, 7 live roulette tables, 6 live baccarat tables and 6 live game shows. The selection may change as studios add or retire tables. See the full list in Live Casino.
Responsible Gambling
Go to Account → Limits, choose a daily, weekly or monthly period and enter an amount in CAD. A lower limit applies immediately; a higher limit or removing it takes effect only after a cooling-off period. Loss and time limits are set the same way — see Responsible Gambling.
In Account → Responsible Gambling you can start a gaming break for a chosen period. During the break you cannot log in to play or deposit, and the break cannot be cancelled early. If you need a longer pause, consider self-exclusion.
Request self-exclusion in Account → Responsible Gambling or by writing to support@goldennuggelcasino.slonik.store. While it is active, your account is closed to gambling and you will not receive marketing. You can also contact GameSense, the AGLC responsible gambling program, for information about self-exclusion in Alberta.
Free and confidential help is available 24/7. Call the Alberta Health Services Addiction Helpline at 1-866-332-2322, dial 211 for 211 Alberta, or visit GameSense. More resources are listed on our Responsible Gambling page.
Support
Write to support@goldennuggelcasino.slonik.store or send a message through the Contact Us form, where you can choose a topic such as account, payments, technical issue or responsible gambling. Include your account email so we can find your account, but never send your password.
Contact support at support@goldennuggelcasino.slonik.store or through the contact form and ask for your account to be closed. Withdraw any remaining balance first. If you want to close the account because of gambling concerns, choose self-exclusion instead — it also blocks new accounts.
